Whew.  I think I'm like many of you when I say I'm out of words to even describe last night's "debate" other than to say, there is nothing left to debate. Trump is running not against Joe Biden but against democracy. And because I don't have much else to say about last night, I'll share a few of the features I read this morning:

Joan Walsh had a great summation over at The Nation, "Nevertheless, I think Biden did what he had to do: display his human decency. And Trump showed that he had none."

The very excellent media critic Eric Boehlert in his newsletter, Press Run writes "That's why it's time to call off the next two debates. Tuesday's car wreck was a complete waste of time."

And over at Salon, Heather Digby Parton sums up what I think so many of us are feeling,  "I have to imagine that many viewers changed the channel after about 45 minutes of it. That spectacle was literally painful to watch at times because it reminded us how much our democracy has been degraded and demeaned by this man for four long years."

Do you have thoughts on last night? I'd love to hear them (or just email to say ARGHHHHHH!)

🗳 HAVE YOU MADE YOUR PLAN TO VOTE?

We can't think of anything as important as getting out the vote in the 2020 election. But we also know it's confusing, especially with this administration doing everything it can to suppress YOUR voice.

Our state-by-state voter resource guide has dates for early voting, how to get an absentee/mail-in ballot, contact information for your local elections office, how to become a poll-worker and so much more.  We want you to #PLANYOURVOTE and help others to do the same!

We need your help to keep publishing.

The impact of Covid-19 has significantly impacted our ability to keep publishing.
